Your journey starts in Linz before boarding your ship in the magnificent Austrian capital of Vienna. Continue to the dramatic city of Budapest, the 'Pearl of the Danube'. Cruise the Danube from Bratislava in Slovakia to Dürnstein and stunning Wachau Valley to Melk.
This is a cruise packed with wonderful architecture, interesting history, beautiful scenery and a superb range of optional excurions, from a traditional Puzsta and horse show in Kalosca in Hungary, to a guided tour of Schönbrunn Castle and the Hofburg, the Habsburg palace in Vienna.

Day 1 - Linz (Austria)
Embark your ship at 6pm and settle into your cabin. Depart for Vienna at 6.30pm at the latest. Presentation of the crew during a welcome cocktail, and dinner on board this evening.
Day 2 - Vienna
Arrive in Vienna for a choice of optional excursions. This morning there is the choice to visit the Schoenbrunn Palace, former summer residence of the imperial family, or perhaps discover the high art of Viennese living visiting back stage in the Konzerthaus concert hall. This afternoon there is the option to visit the Hofburg Palace. This evening there is an optional excursion to take you on a tour of Vienna by night.
Day 3 - Budapest (Hungary)
Enjoy the scenery as we spend this morning cruising the Danube river, arriving in Budapest just after lunch. In the afternoon there is an optional guided tour of Budapest. There is a second optional excursion - a bike ride taking in the important sights of the city. Back on board for dinner followed by an evening of 'operatta music'. Overnight stopover in Budapest.
Day 4 - Budapest
After breakfast have a free day in Budapest (excluding lunch) or depart by coach for the optional excursion to the Puszta, also known as the Great Plain, which in the 19th century was the Wild West of Hungary. Cruise through the night to Bratislava.
Day 5 - Bratislava (Slovakia)
Morning sailing to Bratislava. In the afternoon there is an optional guided tour of Bratislava. Highlights of the charming capital of Slovakia include Baroque palaces and pleasant squares. There is an additional optional excursion - a hike through the breathtaking scenery of the Little Carpathians, taking in Devin Castle. Back on board at the end of the afternoon and continue the cruise to Durnstein. Gala dinner on board.
Day 6 - Durnstein (Austria)
Explore Durnstein, a charming town that contains an astonishing abbey, which has one of the most beautiful Baroque bell towers in Austria. Back on board for lunch then depart to Melk. Cross the Wachau Valley and arrive in Melk. This afternoon visit the Benedictine Abbey of Melk on an optional guided tour. Back on board for dinner and continue to Linz.
Day 7 - Linz
Arrive in Linz early in the morning. Breakfast on board then disembark at 9am.
