Cruise to Avignon in the shadow of the majestic Palais des Papes, and on to Viviers, from where you can visit the Ardeche Gorges, a series of dramatic and truly breathtaking gorges. The final port of call before returning to Lyon is pretty Tain L'Hermitage, where there is an optional tour to the Vecors with a tasting of the famous Clairette de Die.

LMX_PP - Highlights of the Rhone Valley Itinerary

Day 1 - Lyon (France)

Embark your ship in Lyon and spend the afternoon cruising. Settle into your cabin, before enjoying a welcome cocktail with the crew. Dinner and evening entertainment. Cruise through the night.

Day 2 - Arles

Spend the morning cruising. There are two optional excursions - a visit to the beautiful village of Baux-de-Provence and a hike in the Alpilles Mountains ending in Baux-de-Provence. This evening, there is an optional tour of Arles with its magnificent ampitheatre.

Day 3 - Arles - Port Saint Louis - Martigues

Today, perhaps visit a "manade" (bull breeding farm) in the Camargue and learn about how a manadier works on an optional tour, or join the optional jeep safari through the Camargue. This afternoon, cruise to Martigues where there is free time to explore before setting sail for Avignon.

Day 4 - Arles - Viviers

There is an optional excursion: Discover the Baux-de-Provence. This afternoon will be spent cruising to Viviers.

Day 5 - Viviers - Tain L'Hermitage

Spend the morning cruising, before disembarking for an optional tour of the Vercors with a tasting of the famous Clairette de Die. Gala dinner and evening. The ship begins cruising to Lyon.

Day 6 - Lyon

Disembark your ship in Lyon.

The Captain reserves the right to modify the cruise itinerary.
